It’s always great to spotlight such a unique mix of talent, and our Meet the Team profiles at the start of the new year are no exception. Let’s get to know three pros who are recent additions to the Gramercy team. We appreciate what they’ve already contributed and thank each of them for choosing to bring their talents to Gramercy Group.
Rosa Kamil, Cost Control Manager

Rosa has been with us for only a few months but has already made a meaningful impact on our team. She brings over two decades of experience in project accounting (since 2001) and has served as a Cost Controller since 2020.
Originally from Indonesia, Rosa came to the United States in 2000. She holds a background in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Finance Management — a powerful combination that gives her both technical and financial insight into every project she touches.
Before transitioning into cost control and project accounting, Rosa worked in Indonesia as a designer, project designer, and scheduling engineer. Her hands-on field experience gives her a deep understanding of construction operations, which greatly strengthens her approach to job costing and project controls.
Rosa loves her profession because every project is unique and brings new challenges. Her advice to anyone entering the field: be diligent and collaborate closely with your project team.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and trying new foods — something we can all appreciate!
We are incredibly thankful for Rosa’s expertise in job costing and the way she has seamlessly integrated into our team. We’re excited to continue growing together.
George Lucas Robayo, Welder

We’d like to introduce you to George Lucas Robayo, one of our skilled welders.
We’re proud to recognize George, who recently celebrated one year with Gramercy Group!
George joined our team after being recommended by Gary, one of our talented mechanics, and we couldn’t be more grateful that connection brought him to us.
Before Gramercy, George was doing incredible work welding airplane parts for fighter jets—a testament to both his skill and precision.
George’s journey into welding began back in high school through BOCES, inspired in part by his brother who was taking electrical classes there. That early exposure helped spark a passion that has grown into a true craft. Outside of work, he enjoys welding figures, sculptures, and creative pieces that show just how much artistry goes into the trade.

George comes from a close-knit family—he has two brothers (one serving in the Air Force and another still in high school), a father who works with the NYPD, and a mother who is a life coach.
When he’s not on the job, you can find George staying active at the gym, golfing, bowling, spending time with family and his girlfriend.
Most of all, George says he enjoys Gramercy because of the people he works with, and we’re lucky to have him as part of our team.
Thank you, George, for the skill and pride you bring every day in keeping our machines running strong and our work moving forward. We appreciate everything you do!
Nicholas Thompson, Gramercy Estimator/Ace Tool TikTok Actor

We’re excited to spotlight Gramercy Estimator and Ace Tool TikTok actor, Nicholas Thompson.
Nicholas has been an Estimator with us for a little over a year and joined the company through our COO, Vincent. After graduating college, Nick was working at a marina and shared with Vincent that he was interested in getting into the construction industry. Vincent saw something special in him and instantly connected him with our estimating team for an interview — and just two days later, Nick was hired.
Nick grew up in Huntington with his parents, who own a travel agency in Cold Spring Harbor, and his brother, who is currently studying law at Touro University. He attended SUNY Geneseo, where he began his studies in business before concentrating in education and majoring in math.
Growing up, Nick was very active and played soccer, baseball, tennis, and basketball in high school. He is also fluent in Spanish, having participated in a dual-language program starting in kindergarten and becoming fluent by fourth grade.
Nick enjoys his career because of his love for numbers and the collaboration involved in pricing a project. He values working with team members across departments — from estimating to project management — and finds real satisfaction in seeing a building come down knowing he played a role in the process.
His advice for anyone considering a career in estimating? Ask questions and never shy away from learning.
In his spare time, Nick still enjoys playing soccer, spending time with his college girlfriend, Rebecca, and traveling — something he’s done quite a bit of thanks to his parents being in the travel industry.
We’re grateful to have Nick on our team. He’s always positive, outgoing, and a great presence around the office — and he even plays a big role in our Ace Tool TikTok channel! Watch one of his clips here: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP89P454T/
